An aerial view of Lake Gaston - the east coast's best kept secret.

Situated along the borders of Virginia and North Carolina, Lake Gaston is 37 miles long and averages 40′ in depth, boasting an expansive 350 miles of shoreline that spans five counties in the two states.  There are approximately 254 subdivisions and a variety of eateries and activities to match the tastes of most any visitor or year-round resident.  The Eaton Ferry Bridge spans the center of Lake Gaston at its widest point – about 1.3 miles – with I- 85 crossing the western end of the lake and I-95 crossing the eastern end of the lake.

Lake Gaston is a hydroelectric power source created in 1963 and owned by Dominion Resources, and they regulate Lake Gaston water levels, waterfront construction, and other issues that preserve the health of the lake and promote it’s optimum use as both a power source and a water source.  When considering new construction or the purchase of an existing home on Lake Gaston, Dominion Power regulations are an important part of the decision-making process.  Our staff at Gaston Pointe Properties is intimately familiar with these regulations, and has access to all the information you need to ensure that your home buying experience is as smooth as possible and that you have the waterfront amenities that you want in your lake-front home.
